Sally founded B.I.C. Realty in 1971. B.I.C. stands for Beaurline Investment Corporation (Sally’s maiden name). Sally spent every summer on Lake Vermilion on Taylor’s Island where her family has owned a cabin since 1939. After graduating from the University of Illinois, she moved to Cook and opened the real estate office. That seemed to be the thing to do since her majors were English Literature and Art History!
Sally has also been the volunteer President of the W.C. Heiam Medical Foundationwhich supports the hospital. In her 22 years with the organization, the foundation has raised over 2.5 million and has donated over $500,000 to the hospital and other area organizations which help support the hospital.
Sally and her husband, Mark, enjoy boating on Lake Vermilion in vintage wooden boats. They have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
Mark joined B.I.C. Realty in 1978. Mark taught for 19 years at the University of Minnesota in the business field specializing in small business.

Vicki began her real estate career with B.I.C. Realty in 1976, getting her real estate license and in 1979 became an Associate Broker. She works throughout the Cook/Tower/Lake Vermilion and surrounding communities serviced by the Arrowhead and Range Multiple Listing Services.
Vicki and her husband, Jack, have been lifelong residents of the Cook community and have two grown sons and three grandchildren. Vicki and Jack are avid general aviation enthusiasts and they work extensively to promote education and interest through the Cook Area Friends of Aviation, where Vicki serves as Secretary/Treasurer. In addition, Vicki sits on the Board of Supervisors for the North Star Credit Union in Cook.

Julia Maki joined BIC Realty in the Spring of 2014 to specialize in property management and became an active sales associate in the Spring of 2015. Julia grew up in Cook and has B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the Gustavus Adolphus College. While growing up, Julia spent a significant amount of time on both Lake Vermilion and Crane Lake. After graduating from College, Julia worked in the environmental field with an emphasis in land development.
Julia has sat on the County’s Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment and was the previous Planning Director for Greenwood Township. She now resides in Embarrass with her family on their hobby farm. She has been involved in coaching various sports, teaching Sunday School and is a volunteer fire fighter and first responder. She enjoys many outdoor activities including fishing, camping, boating, gardening and horseback riding and spending time with her family and five kids. She also enjoys spending time at her family’s cabins on Lake Vermilion and Crane Lake.

Taryn joined B.I.C. Realty in 1999 as a receptionist, becoming office manager in 2002, and in 2010 she got her real estate license.
Taryn is a lifelong resident of Cook. She enjoys many outdoor activities with her family such as camping, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and hunting.
Taryn and her husband, Sheldon, own Sandberg Construction & Property Services, building & remodeling homes in the Cook/Tower/Lake Vermilion area.
